Alan Short Center
The Alan Short Center has provided day program services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1976.
As an arts-based program, we believe that, in additional to being fun, the arts are excellent teaching tools that encourage hard work, social integration and language development. Visual and performing arts serve a vital role in meeting self-expression and creative needs to individuals. The arts also serve as a bridge for an all-inclusive community setting that fully complies with HCBS Final Rule.
ASC strives to provide each person the opportunity to make individual choices. Self-advocacy, community integration, functional living skills, person growth and employment exploration are all an essential part of our program.
