New Start Supportive Living Services

Our Mission

To provide a support system specific to each individual. Our belief is that people with developmental disabilities have a right to live in a home of their own, rather than prescribed and controlled choices made by others. The focus will center on the individual, family members, community resources and a support team picked by the consumer. This circle of support will encourage, support, and help achieve consumer success. New Start staff will be sensitive to the ethnic, lifestyles, and cultural diversity of our individuals and their circle of support. We will use Person Centered Planning which always encourages individuals to maximize their choices so as to enjoy a greater quality of life.

New Start’s belief is that by taking control of the choices that control their lives, people with developmental disabilities can better direct their future. This includes where and with whom they live, where they work, and how they spend their time and resources

Our Opportunities

We have many opportunities to work as a Life Skills Coach throughout Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, and Yuba counties.

SLS (Supportive Living Services) provide Life Skills Coaches for adults with developmental disabilities who want to live in their own homes and make their own choices. The purpose of Supportive Living Services is to help our clients live as independently as they can and to have as full a life as they desire.
