Sierra Foothill Residential Care

Sierra Foothills Residential Care is a group living for adults with developmental disabilities in Sonora. Our goals are to assist and teach our residents in meeting their highest level of independence, maintain/improve current levels of independence, and enhance life and social skills. Joining our team means being a companion to people with various types of disabilities and teaching them valuable life skills.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of the consumers.
Responsible for required daily record keeping.
Will demonstrate respect for the residents and treat them in a dignified, respectful and humane manner.
Will respect the residents’ rights and property and maintain confidentiality.
Assisting with personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, and exercise.
Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands.
General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and medication assistance.
Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision.
Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and personal shopping while maintaining proper staff to client ratio.
Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional.
Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning.
Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual’s health, recording and reporting any differences.
Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license, and a clear driving record.
Good health as verified by a health screening, including a TB test, performed by a physician within six (6) months prior to, or seven (7) days after, date of employment.
Possession of a current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificate or enrollment in the next available class.
Department of Justice criminal record (fingerprint) clearance (DOJ).
Must be 18 years of age, fluent in English.
Must sign a criminal statement.
Familiarity with developmental disabilities and related support systems
