On My Own Independent Living Services

On My Own has many employment opportunities available for both entry-level and professional positions. All positions require: valid Driver License, car insurance policy, and reliable transportation to use for work. 

Direct Service Provider: Supported Living Services (SLS) is a program for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, designed to provide personal assistance, support, and supervision so they can live healthy and safe in their home. Services provided include activities of daily living so that the individual can remain living independently.  Services can be up to 24 hours a day.

Skills Trainer:

Independent Living Services (ILS) provides services for clients who are interested in living on their own in the community. Clients are paired with a Skills Trainer who will meet with the client weekly to work on goals and objectives. The training is repetitive and customized according to the client’s specific goals and needs.

Empowered Parenting (EPP) provides one-to-one training for adults with developmental disabilities. At the core of this program is the concept of empowerment. The Empowered Parenting Program matches clients with a Skills Trainer to provide weekly training on skills needed to successfully parent a child in their natural environment in order to sustain the family.

Tailored Day Services (TDS) are designed to maximize a client’s individualized choices and needs, with customization of day services through individualized services. TDS provides opportunities for increased integration and inclusion, as well as further opportunities for the client to develop or maintain employment/volunteer activities and pursue post-secondary education.

Housing Liaison: Housing Access Services serves clients of any age who need safe and stable housing. The services are provided on a 1:1 ratio.

Coordinated Family Support Provider: Coordinated Family Support Services (CFS) is a service for adults with developmental disabilities who choose to live with their family. CFS service will be tailored, individualized, and flexible to meet the changing needs and preferences of the individual being served along with their family/caregiver. This position requires an Associate’s Degree or higher in a human services field, or 3 years experience.
