Since Esperanza’s establishment in 1996, the organization has expanded our range of services to incorporate specific areas of our Independent Living and Supported Living Services programs with the purpose of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Through over twenty years of experience and knowledge, we have recognized the growing needs of our clients and commit and have developed and implemented new programs to accommodate their needs while also ensuring to facilitate our client’s innate potential for successful living. Now Hiring: Direct Support Staff – Entry Level

Esperanza Services is a mission-driven non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities, including children, adults, and families with special needs. We are looking for compassionate, motivated Direct Support Staff who are ready to get out in the community, work independently, and make a real impact every day.
If you enjoy working in the field, driving to support clients, and building meaningful connections, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do
Provide personalized support to individuals with special needs
Drive clients to appointments, activities, and community resources
Work independently while staying connected to a supportive team
Advocate for clients and promote independence with dignity and respect
Driving is a key part of this role — mileage is reimbursed!
What We Offer
Full-Time & Part-Time positions available
Flexible schedules with hours available Monday–Sunday
Overtime pay at 1.5x (with approval)
Non-taxable mileage reimbursement: $0.72/mile

Work Schedule
Full-Time: 35–40 hours/week
Part-Time: Under 35 hours/week
Preferred Availability:
Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Weekends OPEN
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual highly preferred: Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
Minimum Requirements
Ability to provide transportation for clients (mileage reimbursed).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license in good standing with the DMV.
Current auto insurance
Successful completion of a criminal background check (Live Scan).
Clean drug screening & TB clearance.
CPR/First Aid certification
Motivated, copassionate, and dedicated to supporting others.
